June 10th, 2011

On 19-20th May 2011, Cardiff Spinal Unit in association with Surgi C held a ‘Current Concepts in Spinal Surgery’ meeting at the Vale Hotel, Cardiff. This meeting attracted 46 delegates from across the UK, all of whom were keen to be part of this interactive, dynamic, discussion based meeting. The ‘Current Concepts in Spinal Surgery’ meeting is part of the high calibre educational services provided by the Surgi C Academy.

This fantastic meeting benefited from a first class faculty and a large number of delegates and was commented on as being an ‘excellent’ meeting. Surgi C would like to take this opportunity to thank the faculty for this year’s meeting:

The faculty provided interesting and stimulating discussions on the topics covered within the agenda. Successful Theatre Practitioner Training session….

April 11th, 2011

As part of the Surgi C Academy, we organise theatre practitioner training sessions which are held across the UK on request from the local hospitals. Last week witnessed another successful training session being carried out, this time at the Royal College of Surgeons, London.

As a team, we are tremendously pleased with the feedback, especially where the only negative feedback was that the training session should be held over 2 days rather than 1. Perhaps this is something that may be developed in the future.

We are looking forward to holding the next training session in Bristol on 22nd June. If you would like any further information, please contact marketing@surgi-c.com.

Interesting Article on Spinal Surgeons

March 24th, 2011

We have just come across an interesting article in the Daily Mail about spinal surgeons across the UK – http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1368667/Spinal-operations-high-risk–trust-We-asked-experts-themselves.html.

This article recommends their top 10 spinal surgeons that have been decided upon by canvassing other surgeons, and as the Daily Mail sites, this isn’t scientific.

We would be interested to hear your thoughts and comments on this article?
